Last Christmas, Rally decided to do something more meaningful than the typical fun and clever gifts – and built a complete computer lab to educate over 90 orphans in Kenya. THIS YEAR – we are ramping it up and drilling a fresh water well, providing over 2,600 people in the village of Meda-Atsela, Ethiopia with clean water right in their village that will change their lives as they know it. The partnership between Run for Water and Rally on this project means that over 450 women and girls who are currently travelling over 9km every day to get contaminated stream water, will now be able to spend that time getting an education, and will not be perpetually sick as a result of the water they HAVE been drinking.

Your continued support of Rally Creative over this past year has once again made this life-changing investment possible for us to fund. All of us at Rally would like to wish you the best in this Christmas season – and encourage you to savour time off with family and friends. Merry Christmas from the team at Rally!

If this has inspired you to do more this Christmas – we encourage you to join our movement for clean water – and click on the link below to make a donation to Run for Water.

Our good friends, Kim and Geo, are founders of the Imani orphanage in Kenya, Africa. They take in children from the streets who have virtually no hope in life, and give them not only a caring home and food but education as well. We all take computers for granted; yet most of these children have never seen a computer. That’s why, as a Christmas gift we provided the Imani orphanage with a computer lab – complete with laptops, software, printers, desks and chairs, and a teacher.

We sent our clients and suppliers a faux laptop box as a unique way to announce the plan of creating the new computer lab for the 92 orphan children in Kenya.

The kids of Imani Orphanage received their computers and had their first lesson on Saturday January 20th. They had new desks made, repaired the floor and painted the room. They also had a celebration party once the lab was complete.

hackrod

You’ve likely heard of self-driving cars, but self-designing ones? It sounds far-fetched, but that’s the concept that drives Hackrod, a startup that allows anyone to create a customized vehicle using generative design, virtual reality, artificial intelligence and 3D printing. That’s the goal, anyway. Hackrod wants to change the way that cars are manufactured, essentially democratizing their creation the way that technology has democratized so many other things.
